About Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop-rock band formed in 2009 for Nickelodeon’s series of the same name. The band is comprised of Carlos PenaVega, James Maslow, Kendall Schmidt, and Logan Henderson. Their debut album, BTR, was released in 2010, and their second album, Elevate, was released the following year. The group’s third album, 24/seven, was released in 2013. Nickelodeon would release a “Greatest Hits” compilation album in 2016. After a hiatus from 2014 to early 2020, Big Time Rush announced their reunion and released acoustic versions of two of their biggest hits, “Worldwide”, and “Music Sounds Better With U”.
In 2021, the guys released their first single in nearly seven years, “Call It Like I See It”. The song received attention, which led them to release three more singles; “Fall”, “Honey”, and “Not Giving You Up”. A collaboration with Latin pop artist Maffio resulted in several Spanglish records, the first of which is entitled “Dale Pa’Ya”.
Aside from the band, each of the boys has had their own solo projects. Carlos has acted alongside his wife, Alexa PenaVega of “Spy Kids” fame, in several Hallmark films and a TV series on the network. James Maslow was a semi-finalist on Big Brother in 2016 and has continued to act in television and film, as well as release music. Kendall Schmidt wrote and released several albums with his new band, Heffron Drive, from 2015-2019. Logan Henderson found success in a solo music career and released several albums as well.
